A Deeper Look Across the Southern States

Our fact sheets focus on the three areas: health and wellbeing, public safety and discrimination, and LGBTQ community life and political participation. At the beginning of each fact sheet is a brief overview of the significant findings in each of these three sections, largely divided up by substantive area. Within the fact sheet, each state is compared to the other participating states. Please note: West Virginia does not have a fact sheet as the number of people participating from this state were too small to disaggregate.
